Project i-TRACE - driving digitalisation of the Rail supply chain
Project i-TRACE, an industry initiative, lays the foundations towards digitalisation and improved supply chain management both locally and globally. The use of Global Data Standards provides a common language for all, supporting interoperability and visibility across rail operations.

, supporting the expansion of Project i-TRACE to ensure a standardised approach for data capture, labelling, and electronic exchange to improve traceability of procured components to reduce costs and improve safety and reliability for asset management.

A range of resources have been developed to help organisations implement
i-TRACE fundamentals:
i. Unique identification
ii. Marking with barcoding and/or RFID tagging
iii. Preparing, sharing and maintaining Material Master Data
